Peak District Team Building Day

The Nuclear Fallout Challenge is an immersive team-building experience set in the Peak District, combining mental problem-solving with practical, hands-on tasks.

Working under time pressure, teams must locate a hazardous waste container and collaborate to retrieve the materials needed to secure it safely. Designed around a ‘challenge by choice’ approach, the activity allows individuals to contribute in different ways, revealing leadership, communication, and collaboration skills within the team.

Teams must decide which transport device to build and how best to allocate tasks to gather the required materials. Some challenges require the whole group, while others can be completed by smaller teams in parallel. Success depends on effective decision-making under pressure, using individual strengths, and maintaining a clear, shared strategy even when teams are working separately.
