Explore the great outdoors with our Cryptic Orienteering Challenge, set in the stunning landscapes of the Peak District. This engaging experience is designed to build collaboration, strategic thinking and a sense of adventure.
Working in small teams, participants use map and compass skills to navigate between checkpoints while solving a mix of navigation and puzzle-based challenges. The session begins with a short briefing from our professional outdoor instructors, covering the basics of orienteering. No prior experience is required - just curiosity and a willingness to get involved.
Teams must develop an effective strategy to score the highest number of points within a set time. Decisions need to be made about route choice and whether to prioritise more complex, higher-value challenges or simpler tasks worth fewer points. Running is not permitted; success depends on planning, communication and efficient decision-making. Some challenges involve cryptic puzzles requiring careful thought and discussion.
